Tele-Navigator development initiative relaunched
Tele-Navigator is back! The scripted television development initiative is designed for writers, directors and/or producers with television concepts that can be produced in WA, with up to six WA creative teams or individuals selected to participate in a development workshop with leading Australian TV producers. Applications close Monday, 1 July at 5:00pm AWST.
Reminder – Overdue Funding Acquittals
An overdue funding acquittal can impact your eligibility to apply for further Screenwest funding and action may be taken to recover the grant/investment. If you have an overdue acquittal, it is important to acquit immediately or request a possible extension to the due date.
Lotterywest provides Screenwest with record $9.2M for 2023/2024
Lotterywest has provided Screenwest with a grant of $7.7M plus an additional grant of $1.5M, as a result of an unprecedented level of production. This additional grant will see WA achieve its biggest year of scripted production to date.

Screenwest is pleased to open a new, limited round of Digital Games Funding, with support available for the pre-production and post-production phases of game development. Applications close Tuesday, 2 April 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.
Applications open for Indonesian Marketplace 2:1 – Matched Development Fund
Part of the Australia – Indonesia Fast Track Initiative, the fund will provide double the marketplace development investment from international market partners with direct access to South East Asian (SEA) territories.
West Coast Visions 2024 now open for applications
Screenwest and Screen Australia are pleased to announce that applications for West Coast Visions 2024 are now open, with up to $1.25M production funding available to Western Australian filmmaking teams looking to produce their debut feature film. Applications close Monday, 8 April 2024 at 5:00pm AWST, with a Q&A webinar taking place on Monday, 5 February.
Screenwest Scripted Team update
Screenwest is pleased to announce Tenille Kennedy is stepping into the role of Head of Scripted: Content and Talent, with Kirby Brierty joining the team as Scripted Production Program Manager.
Screenwest First Nations staff update
Devina McPherson departs Screenwest to take on new opportunities and projects and Perun Bonser joins the team to take up the reins as Screenwest’s First Nations Executive.
New Scripted Development rounds now open
Screenwest is pleased to announce the Scripted Concept Development Fund and the Scripted Project Development Fund rounds are now open. These are the first rounds to open under the revised scripted development guidelines. Applications for both rounds will close Monday, 15 January 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.
Screenwest holiday office closure and payment schedule
The Screenwest office will close from 5:00pm AWST on Thursday, 21 December 2023 and reopen at 9:00am AWST on Tuesday, 2 January 2024.

Screenwest is seeking First Nations Cultural Advisors as it seeks to form a group of First Nations cultural advisers that reflects the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, culture, languages, genders, geography, skills and experience.
