World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) 2026
WCSFP is the pre-eminent annual international event where the factual media community gathers to explore the cutting edge and future trends of how science, history and other content-rich subjects are communicated to a mass audience.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
A set amount of $6,000 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided. A budget is not required as part of the application.
This is a competitive round and only a limited number of practitioners will be supported.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a Western Australian resident and meet the general eligibility requirements set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
- Hold the underlying rights to at least three strong projects in development with some level of market interest.
- Provide a summary of projects being taken to market (including proof of market interest) and a rationale for attending the market.
Applicants are responsible for securing their own event registration.
Screenwest will only fund one person per project/company to attend WCSFP 2026.

Highly attended markets / conferences are advertised as a competitive funding round due to the volume of applications we receive.
The Eligible Travel Destinations list shows which destinations will be advertised as a competitive funding round.
All travel is undertaken at the applicant’s own risk. Any travel booked or paid for that is subsequently cancelled, or where travel is not undertaken for any reason is not a claimable expense.
As part of your travel planning, you will need to ensure that you follow government mandates under the National Fuel Security Plan.
Screenwest will not reimburse any associated costs with travel not undertaken.

Content London is a world leading development marketplace and conference. It attracts more than 3,000 leading content executives from all over the world, with a focus on creating fresh partnerships around the most progressive ideas and initiatives. It takes place across five venues in London, with a development marketplace, conference, screenings and networking events.

- Additionally, up to four special grants of $3,000 are available for WA developers exhibiting at PAX Aus this year to help WA devs showcase their games at the largest games consumer event in Australia. Proof of booking for a booth or display area at a showcase event is required as part of this application.
