Western Australian-made HYPERDROP coming soon to PC

Dark Dark Goose and Devolver Digital have announced HYPERDROP is coming soon to PC, with the demo now ready to experience on Steam.

Announced at last week’s Pins & Pegs Fest on Steam, HYPERDROP is a mind-melting pachinko roguelite where you build massive point-scoring boards and watch them explode with satisfying chain reactions and game-breaking combos.

Screenwest with the Western Australian Government supported the early development of HYPERDROP through Screenwest’s Digital Games Production Fund which provides grants to Western Australian companies and key creatives to develop and release high-quality, diverse and engaging digital games.

Screenwest also supported Dark Dark Goose developer Aaron Dark to travel to Play Now Melbourne in 2025, where the game was picked up by US-based indie publishing giant Devolver Digital.

Dark Dark Goose developer Aaron Dark said “This game simply wouldn’t have been made without the pre-production funding Screenwest offers. The support gave me the opportunity to take HYPERDROP from an early idea into a properly tested and developed prototype.

Their support also helped me travel to Play Now Melbourne, where I was able to put HYPERDROP in front of international publishers and ultimately connect with Devolver Digital, who went on to sign and fund the game. That support at such an early stage has had a huge impact on where HYPERDROP is today, and was integral in securing a global publisher and audience.”

Screenwest CEO Rikki Lea Bestall said “Screenwest is proud to have supported Dark Dark Goose’s HYPERDROP, not only through our Digital Games Production Fund but to travel to key industry markets to attract global partners.

We are committed to backing our local digital games sector, elevating Western Australian-made games and our talented indie developers on the global stage.”

Western Australian-made games available to play on Steam include Misc. A Tiny Tale, Lunars, Power Sink, Zodiac Mountain, Ghost Cam, Finch & Archie and Don’t Stop, Girly Pop!.

HYPERDROP is coming soon to PC. Watch the trailer here and experience it right now by checking out the demo on Steam.
