Screenwest welcomes Alison Hayles as Diversity Program Manager

Screenwest is pleased to welcome Alison Hayles as Diversity Program Manager, starting Wednesday, 6 April.

Alison will be responsible for managing Screenwest’s Diversity program, including the delivery of Screenwest’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan. She will be integral in enacting change as she engages with production companies and filmmakers across WA to improve and enhance their own diversity and inclusion practices.

Alison will bring a world of knowledge, expertise and experience to the role, having worked for a number of arts organisations and production companies including Electric Pictures, Showrunner Productions, Art Gallery of Western Australia, National Gallery of Victoria and Macmillan Publishing, and more recently DADAA, with responsibilities including project management, writing, producing, research and communications. In her role as Head of Communication at DADAA, Alison has worked collaboratively with arts partners and the broader community on accessible and inclusive projects.

“With her extensive career experience combined with her lived experiences in the diversity space, we are excited to see what Alison can achieve in our newly created Diversity Program Manager role. Welcome Alison!” said Rikki Lea Bestall, Screenwest CEO.

“I’m excited to be joining the team at Screenwest and look forward to building relationships within WA’s screen sector and working closely with the Diversity Leadership Group to deliver Screenwest’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Action Plan.” said Alison Hayles.

Screenwest is unwavering in its commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in line with the Western Australian Screen Industry Diversity and Inclusion Roadmap, created to achieve greater diversity and inclusion across the WA screen industry.
