WA Made Film Festival kicks off this month
This year’s program features 127 short films, feature films, documentaries and smartphone films, with Screenwest-supported feature film Proclivitas from Miley Tunnecliffe and Kate Separovich opening the festival on 19 February.
WA Made Film Festival 2026 starts on Thursday, 19 February, with Screenwest-supported film Proclivitas from Miley Tunnecliffe and Kate Separovich kicking off the festival as the opening night film.
WA Made Film Festival is Western Australia’s only independently operated film festival
featuring exclusively WA made films. It is WA’s biggest celebration of locally made screen content.
This year’s program features 127 short films, feature films, documentaries and smartphone films including 74 premieres, of which 60 are world premieres.
The festival features 11 short film showcase events highlighting over 100 WA-made shorts including Re-imagining Our Futures: Birthing, Love, Rock En Masse and The Road Ahead supported by Screenwest.
The festival runs from Thursday, 19 February to Sunday, 1 March 2026 at Palace Cinemas, Raine Square, with special events also taking place at North Metro Tafe Perth Campus, City of Perth Library Auditorium and Planet Royale Theatre.
