Filmed in the Margaret River region and Perth surrounds, including at Parliament House and the ABC Studios, The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer is the third outing of the critically acclaimed, award-winning anthology series.
The series features Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Peaky Blinders) reprising his role as Brett Colby SC and also starring Danielle Cormack (Wentworth, Year Of), Eryn Jean Norvill (Love Me, Preppers), Sarah Peirse (Stateless, We Went Up The Hill), and William Zappa (The Dry, Population: 11).
Supported by Screenwest and the Western Australian Government through the Western Australian Production Attraction Incentive, which attracts high profile, market driven footloose screen productions to the state, the eight-part series is produced by WBITVP Australia and Easy Tiger Productions for the Foxtel Group.
Production of The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer is estimated to have created 150 local jobs for Western Australians, including 50 cast with speaking roles, and attracted a spend of more than $10 million into the local economy – surpassing the economic impact of the previous season, which was also filmed in WA.

Screenwest Chief Executive Officer Rikki Lea Bestall said: “The Twelve has proven Western Australia’s innate ability to attract premium productions to our state and I am excited to see this next instalment on screen. Being able to draw series of this ilk to Western Australia provides opportunities for local crew and further cements our position as a go-to destination for screen production.”
The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer is unlike any other as things get personal for Brett Colby (Sam Neill) when he is thrust into a murder trial to defend the husband of a life-long friend accused of a heinous murder. As the trial unravels a deeper mystery, a 1968 cold case murder of two teens is re-opened, and the 12 jurors sworn in for the trial find their own lives changed by the experience.
Serving as the jury are Ewen Leslie (The Cry, Top of the Lake China Girl), Phoenix Raei (The Night Agent, Clickbait), Hanah Tayeb (Miles From Nowhere, Raised by Refugees Season 2), Nathalie Morris (Bump, We Were Dangerous), Catherine Moore (Runt, How to Please a Woman), Bolude Watson (Hearts and Bones, Swift Street), Bessie Holland (Fisk, Wentworth), Stuart Daulman (Five Bedrooms, Utopia), Paul Tassone (Poker Face, The Code), Charles Napoleon An (Narrow Road to the Deep North, Last King of the Cross), Libby Stone (The Claremont Murders, Blue Heelers) and newcomer Claire Leach.
The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer premieres on 4 August on BINGE and on Showcase, with new episodes dropping weekly. It will also be available On Demand.
