Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bruce Beresford and filmed across Perth from Fremantle to York, The Travellers is a poignant, funny and heartwarming family story.
Stephen Seary, a charismatic and successful stage designer, returns to his small hometown in Australia to say goodbye to his dying mother. What was to be a quick trip descends into chaos, drama, and at times downright funny moments as Stephen navigates family responsibilities, a difficult relationship with his father, old friends and past lovers, all while trying to return to Europe for a major opera contract.
The film stars Luke Bracey (Elvis, Hacksaw Ridge, Interceptor), Bryan Brown (Anyone But You, Breaker Morant, Cocktail) and Susie Porter (Mercy Road, Transfusion, Gold), Shubshri Kandiah (Beauty and the Beast Musical, Aladdin, Into the Woods Musical), Celia Massingham (DC Legends of Tomorrow, Ladies in Black, Reef n Beef) and Nicholas Hammond (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Sound of Music, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).
