Screenwest to undertake consultation with WA scripted practitioners

Screenwest is calling out for insight from Western Australian screen practitioners to help inform a review of our scripted funding programs.

We would like to gauge how our Development, Scripted and Footloose Production Fund Guidelines could be updated to support, attract and retain WA talent, increase crew capacity and grow Western Australian production levels.

The two-part industry consultation process is set to kick off this month, with a survey to feed into an in-person Scripted Think Tank.

Scripted Guidelines Review – Consultation Surveys

Western Australian scripted practitioners are invited to share their experiences and feedback by taking part in one or both of the below anonymous surveys.

The survey data will help inform our review of the Development, Scripted and Footloose Production Guidelines, to ensure these funding programs best serve our local screen industry at this time.

Both surveys are now closed.

Scripted Think Tank

Following the survey participation, Western Australian scripted key creatives are invited to join Screenwest Executive staff for a think tank session. The moderated session is designed to present the high-level survey themes and discuss how potential decisions around funding levels, incentives, eligibility and processes can improve outcomes for our scripted sector.

Date: Thursday, 20 April 2023
Time:
9:00am – 12:00pm
Venue:
TBA (Perth CBD)

Scripted key creatives interested in attending are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to rsvp@screenwest.com.au by Monday, 17 April.
