Screenwest is pleased to announce a paid Production Accounts Assistant Attachment is available for a Western Australian screen practitioner through the Below the Line Crew Capacity Program on an upcoming award-winning historical documentary series based in Perth.

About the attachment
Role: Production Accounts Assistant
Dates: 30 September – 10 November 2025
Location: Perth
Production Company: Artemis Media
The successful candidate will complete 6 consecutive weeks as a paid Production Accounts Assistant Attachment under the expert guidance of Production Supervisor Lucy Verity, and Production Manager Tao Yu where you will:
- Gain deeper understanding of what the Production Accountant role entails in the documentary sector
- Gain exposure to production accounting, accounts tracking and reconciliation.
- Learn how to reconcile petty cash in multiple currencies.
- Learn how to reconcile credit card statements in Excel.
- Gain knowledge of industry specific accounts reporting practices.
- Work with the travel coordinator to reconcile travel expenses.
- Work with the production manager and coordinator to maintain the productions paperwork.
- Progress towards obtaining a production accountant position in the documentary sector.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
If the right candidate cannot be found for this role, the attachment may be offered in another department.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements in the BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and the Screenwest Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will:
- Good communication & organisational skills,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel,
- Ability to work as part of a team,
- Attention to detail, and
- Ability to take direction.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with
- Bookkeeping experience.
