Updated Scripted Production and Footloose guidelines announced
Screenwest has updated its Scripted Production and Footloose guidelines based on industry feedback and the evolving needs of the local sector. Screenwest is inviting scripted practitioners to a Q&A webinar on 11 October, giving WA creatives the opportunity to learn about the revisions to the guidelines.

Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round to support WA screen producers attending the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) 2024 on the Gold Coast from 28 October – 1 November. Applications close Monday, 7 October at 5:00pm AWST.
Cameras rolling on Season 3 of ‘The Twelve’ in Western Australia
Screenwest is thrilled to welcome award-winning the Binge Original drama back to WA for Season 3, now filming in Margaret River and Perth. Sam Neill will reprise his role as Brett Colby SC and the series will be once again produced by Warner Bros. International Production Australia and Easy Tiger.
Social impact documentary ‘Hard As Puck’ receives 2024 Brian Beaton Award
The highly regarded Brian Beaton Award recognises the valuable contribution esteemed late documentary producer Brian Beaton made to the WA screen industry. Produced by Chanel Bowen in her feature debut, Hard As Puck is set to follow an oddball team of Western Australian para-ice hockey players vying for a place on the national team.
