Kangaroo Beach Season 3 now streaming on ABC iview
Co-produced by WA production company Siamese, the 26-part series sees junior lifeguard cadets Pounce, Gemma, Neville, and Frizzy back for another high-energy summer.
Screenwest is pleased to announce that Season 3 of animated kids series Kangaroo Beach is now screening daily on ABC and in full on ABC iview.
Kicking off with a 22 minute special episode, the 26-part series sees Pounce, Gemma, Neville, and Frizzy back for another high-energy summer, training as junior lifeguard cadets. This season, they’re joined by Spyke, a daring echidna from the bush who’s ready to shake things up as the newest recruit. From beachside rescues to mountain adventures and expeditions into the wilderness, it’s a non-stop thrill ride at the stunning Kangaroo Beach!
After producing the first two seasons of Kangaroo Beach in NSW, Cheeky Little Media (Ginger & the Vegesaurs, Kazoops) teamed up with WA production company Siamese to co-produce the new season.
Production took place across both states, with a number of Western Australian producers, concept designers, editors, sound designers and voice actors bringing the series to life including:
- Siamese’s Francesca Hope served as co-producer.
- WA screenwriter Tracey Defty-Rashid wrote episode 17, ‘Spyke’s Splash Bash’.
- 10-year-old WA actor Blake Stevens joined the main cast as the new voice of kangaroo lifeguard cadet, Pounce, recording dialogue at Perth’s XB Studio.
- Post sound and music was completed at Envelope Audio.
Season 3 also has a new forest setting inspired by real-life Western Australian locations, designed by WA artist Shane Devries (100% Wolf).
Since splashing onto screens across Australia in 2020, Kangaroo Beach became a smash hit with its young audience and families, securing itself as the second most-watched ABC Kids series on ABC iview.
