EOI – Executive Producer, Lotterywest Elevate Initiative

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Western Australian producers and production companies interested in executive producing our 2026 Lotterywest Elevate Initiative projects.

The 2026 Lotterywest Elevate Initiative is a skills development program for early-to-mid career Western Australian key creatives. It provides production funding for a short-form scripted film or series up to 10 minutes in length. The initiative itself will open for applications in August.

Responsibilities

The Executive Producer will:

1. Participate in the program application assessment panel.
2. Supervise and guide the selected teams through contracting, production and the delivery of their projects. Teams will contract directly with the Executive Producer.
3. Ensure each team complies with all applicable laws relating to the production of their project including occupational health and safety and employment laws.
4. Ensure the final delivery of the projects to Screenwest occurs in a timely manner.
5. Liaise closely with Screenwest throughout the process.

Eligibility 

The producer / production company must:

1. Be a Western Australian resident producer/production company with a track record of producing or line managing theatrically released feature film/s and/or broadcast television programs.
2. Be a proprietary limited company with a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
3. Be available from September 2026 to participate in the assessment of the Elevate projects and to oversee the contracting, production and delivery of the selected projects, which are expected to enter production in 2027.

Assessment Criteria 

Screenwest will competitively assess eligible expressions of interest against the following criteria:

• The producer/production company’s track record and demonstrated ability to deliver the Lotterywest Elevate projects on schedule, on budget and to a high standard.
• The producer/production company’s ability to deliver creative guidance and logistical support to filmmakers.

3. Your ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to a high standard.
4. How you will ensure that the necessary creative guidance and logistical assistance is given to the Elevate teams.
5. Current CV of the producer and any key personnel who may be involved in overseeing the Elevate projects.

Interviews for this opportunity will commence in August 2026.
