A paid edit assistant six-week attachment is available for a Western Australian screen practitioner though the Screenwest BTL Crew Capacity Program. The attachment will be working on a documentary series.

Responsibilities
Under the expert guidance of Media Manager Ben Howdern, working within the Edit Team, you will:

- Work within an established workflow that manages an extremely high density of rushes which encompasses multi-cam, multi-GoPro and off-speed material.
- Work within Avid Media Composer to a standard expected by industry.
- Integrate into an edit assistant team environment where goals, work and knowledge are shared to achieve a fast turnaround.
- Insight into the technical procedures from raw rushes to a final picture lock from an assistant perspective.
- Understanding the management of a multi-editor project.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
If the right candidate cannot be found for this role, the attachment may be offered in another department.
The Production Company will select the successful applicant. Screenwest provides administration support.
Key Requirements
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements in the BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and Screenwest Terms of Trade, you must have:

- An understanding and experience using Avid and Resolve including some rushes processing.

- Excellent communicator, a good team player with multi-tasking skills, thoroughness and an eye for detail.
Special consideration will be given to applicants who have experience in:

- working with MXF files, servers, dropbox, google sheets etc.
- Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- working with an Avid Nexis.
