About the Workshop
- Workshop 1: Tuesday, 2 September at 10am – 4pm (AWST).
Jon will take participants through the how and why of pitching. Learn tips, tricks and techniques that can make your pitch stand out.
- Workshop 2: Tuesday, 16 September at 10am – 4pm (AWST).
Put your skills into action. Participants will present their pitches to Jon, applying everything they learned in Workshop 1. Jon will offer constructive feedback to help fine-tune your pitch so it is ready to pitch to the market.
Eligibility and How to Apply
20 places are available for Western Australian game developers. These places are competitive and will be allocated based on the suitability of the project(s) and the potential benefit to the applicant, e.g. if they intend to actively pitch at Melbourne International Games Week this year.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria below to be competitively assessed to attend:
- You must be available to attend both workshops.
- Must meet the general eligibility requirements set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
- Must be a Western Australian resident / Production Company as defined in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
- Practitioners must hold the underlying rights to at least one project in development that would benefit demonstrably from the practitioner’s attendance at the Pitching Workshop.

With over 35 years of experience in the games industry, Jon Cartwright has worked in a variety of senior and executive roles in the UK and Australia. Since 2019 he has been providing consulting services to developers, screen agencies, investors, and publishers around the world from Brisbane, Australia.
