Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2022

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this webpage may contain images, voices and names of deceased persons.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Held from July 3 to 10 this year, NAIDOC Week is an opportunity to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on Earth. To support your local First Nations community and participate in a range of activities and events – search for local events here.

Screenwest is proud to be honouring this year’s NAIDOC Week theme Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! and to celebrate the culture and achievements of the world’s oldest continuous storytellers.

In recognition of the week we are highlighting several Western Australian screen projects made by Indigenous filmmakers in recent years, including long form drama, documentary, comedy and children’s content – all currently available to stream in Australia.
