Location: Perth, WA
Production Company: Two Birds Productions Pty Ltd
Responsibilities: Under the expert guidance of Art Director Louise Brady, you will:
- Work alongside the Art Director and the art department team to gain a comprehensive understanding of set construction workflow – from the design process through to drafting and building, and how this interacts with location filming.
- Assist across the broader art department to gain an understanding of how the different areas interact together, in particular in relation to the studio and location requirements.
- Build practical experience within a professional art department environment.
- Develop confidence in managing set construction both in a studio environment and on location.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
If the right candidate cannot be found for this role, the attachment may be offered in another department.
The Production Company will select the successful applicant. Screenwest provides administration support.
Key Requirements
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements in the BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and Screenwest Terms of Trade, you must have:
- Previous experience in an art department role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Computer literacy.
- Some Adobe suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) knowledge.
Drafting skills are highly regarded. Applicants with these skills will be given special consideration.
