The Documentary Workforce Capacity Program is now open for applications. Western Australia documentary production companies can apply for up to $50,000 to support paid on-the-job training for local screen practitioners.
The Documentary Workforce Capacity Program is now open for applications.
Western Australia documentary production companies can apply for up to $50,000 to support paid on-the-job training for local screen practitioners.
Training opportunities must be for a 6 –12-month period and be in one of the following roles:
- Shooter Director
- Camera
- Line Producer/Production Manager
- Editor
- Story Producer.
Other roles will be considered case-by-case.
Applications close Monday, 12 May 2025 at 5:00pm AWST.

Applications are made through Screenwest’s SmartyGrants portal.
