Four WA projects receive Documentary Development Investment funding

Four documentary projects have received development support through Screenwest’s second round of Documentary Development Investment Funding for the 2021-22 financial year.

The four successful recipients include factual stories about First Nations health services, wildlife protection, Australian dog beaches and an outback production of a cult musical.

“This round has produced an impressive mix of projects – we look forward to following the development of these four unique documentary series.” said Paul Williams, Screenwest Documentary Executive.

Screenwest’s Documentary Development Investment Fund invests in the development of documentary and factual programming in order to support and grow a sustainable Western Australian screen industry. The fund provides support to Western Australian producers for production finance for feature length documentary films and factual series with significant marketplace attachments from traditional and new online platforms and distributors.
