WA creatives join esteemed TV producers for Screenwest’s Tele-Navigator development initiative

Screenwest was proud to facilitate an impressive cohort of WA creatives and esteemed Australian TV producers for the Tele-Navigator development initiative 2024. Held in the vibrant Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts building, the workshop ran for four days from Friday 6 September – Monday 9 September.

Teams heard from speakers including commissioners, producers and writers, and took part in a chain of title workshop. Teams then participated in a series of one-on-one development sessions with producers Tony Ayres (Nowhere Boys, The Slap), Amanda Higgs (The Secret Life of Us, The Time of Our Lives) and Warren Clarke (The Heights, Wellmania).

“We are honoured to have producers of this calibre working closely with our WA creatives. It’s important that our local industry remains connected to the national market, and the Tele–Navigator initiative allows practitioners at varying stages in their career, to develop their concepts and gain incredible insight from some of Australia’s leading TV Producers.” said Tenille Kennedy, Screenwest Head of Scripted: Content and Talent.

The WA creatives selected to participate were:

  • Jesse Laurie
  • Yasmin Kassim
  • Cassandra Nguyen
  • Emma Vickery
  • Emma Jackson
  • Mitchell Walley
  • Leslie Hornung
  • Alison James
  • Richard Vilensky
  • Alzbeta Rekosh
  • Amanda Bridgeman
  • Adam Bishop
  • Ruby-Jean Hindley
  • Caroline Brazier
  • Jules Duncan.
