Informed through industry consultation, we have updated our Terms of Trade.
These updates aim to deliver greater clarity and consistency, better reflecting current industry practice and strengthening our commitment to diversity, access and inclusion.
The revised Screenwest Terms of Trade is now available for reading. It applies to applications received on, or after 1 July 2026 (unless Program Guidelines state otherwise).
Key changes are summarised below:
- Definitions have been removed from the Terms of Trade and can now be found in Screenwest’s Glossary of Terms.
- Screenwest has strengthened its commitment to diversity, access and inclusion by embedding Screenwest’s First Nations and Diversity positions in the Terms of Trade.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been acknowledged in this update, noting that Screenwest follows Screen Australia’s approach to the use of AI.
- Production funding program cap increased from $1.4M to $1.6 million per financial year.
- Documentary production funding cap increased from $800 000 to $1 million per financial year.
- Administration fee will be based on the complexity of the finance plan and contracting requirements, capped at $10,000 per Project.
