A paid six-week Camera Attachment is available for a Western Australian screen practitioner through the Screenwest BTL Crew Capacity Program. The attachment will be working on Stan and ITV series Two Birds, filming at locations in Perth and Kalgoorlie, and in the Perth Film Studios.

Responsibilities
Under the expert guidance of 1st AC, Arthur Bienkowski, you will:
- Assist the camera team with the loading, unloading and organising of camera equipment.
- Take direction from DP & 1st AC.
- Assist in video spilt gear and set up.
- Ensure equipment is packed safely and efficiently for transport.
- Assist with basic administrative paperwork.
- Support camera assistants with equipment preparation and returns.
- Conduct basic equipment checks and flag any issues to the camera team.
- Work collaboratively with other departments such as grips for extensive camera builds and moves.
- Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the camera truck and equipment storage.
Due to being partially based in a regional location the production will provide accommodation, per diems and travel costs to the Attachment while located outside the metro area.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
If the right candidate cannot be found for this role, the attachment may be offered in another department.
The Production Company will select the successful applicant. Screenwest provides administration support.
Key Requirements
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements in the BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and Screenwest Terms of Trade, you must:
- Have experience with camera equipment of some description.
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be reliable and punctual in a time critical production environment.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Have the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Have the physical capability to lift and move equipment safely.
- Have good communication and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Have respect for professional set etiquette and safety procedures
Special consideration will be given to applicants with:
- Experience in a camera rental house, production company, or professional film/TV set.
- A basic understanding of camera equipment and accessories.
- A current driver’s licence.
