Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round to support WA screen practitioners attending Screen Forever 2026.
Screenwest has opened a competitive travel round to support WA screen practitioners attending Screen Forever 2026.
Presented by Screen Producers Australia (SPA), Screen Forever is one of the largest congregations of screen industry professionals in the Southern Hemisphere, attended by leading Australian and international industry practitioners.
Screen Forever Conference and Connect Market will be held at The Star Event Centre Gold Coast from 28 – 30 April 2026, with the Global Market Online running 21 – 22 April.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
A set amount of $2,000 to assist with flights, accommodation and registration will be provided. A budget is not required as part of the application.
A limited number of practitioners will be supported.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

- Be a Western Australian resident and meet the general eligibility requirements set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
- Hold the underlying rights to a solid slate of at least three projects in development with some level of market interest.
- Successful applicants will receive a discount code for event registration. Screenwest will not be responsible for purchasing/obtaining registration(s) for practitioners.
- Once registered, successful applicants will be in invited to apply for the SPA In Person: Matched Market Meetings.
Screenwest will only fund one person per project / company to attend Screen Forever.

Applications can be made through Screenwest’s SmartyGrants portal.
Applications will be assessed against the criteria as outlined within the Travel Fund Guidelines.
Applications for Screen Forever 2026 close Monday, 16 February 2026 at 5pm AWST.
