BBC showcase: Ghosts Australia and Reckless premiere in Perth

Luna Leederville was buzzing last week for the showcase premiere of two BBC Studios Productions Australia projects – Ghosts Australia and Reckless. 

Aptly staged on the eve of Halloween, the event drew a crowd of more than 350 people keen to catch a first glimpse of the shows, including Rove McManus, Tasma Walton, Creative Industries Minister Simone McGurk, Mandy McElhinney, Tamala, Rowan Witt, Brent Hill, Michelle Brasier, Hunter Page-Lochard, Clarence Ryan, Paul Tassone, Julia Redwood, James Grandison, Martha Coleman and Beau Pearson. 

Ghosts, an eight-episode comedy series, was filmed on-set in East Perth and on-location at historic Woodbridge House, near Midland, earlier this year. Reckless, a four-part SBS and NITV Original, was shot around Perth and the port city of Fremantle. 

Both productions were supported by Screenwest and the Western Australian Production Attraction Incentive. 

Ghosts Australia is now screening on 10, and all eight episodes are available to stream on Paramount+. 

Reckless will premiere on NITV, SBS and SBS On Demand at 8:30pm on 12 November.
