A paid Production Assistant Attachment opportunity is available for a Western Australian screen practitioner through the Below-The-Line Crew Capacity Program. The opportunity is on an upcoming documentary series based in East Fremantle. Applications close Monday, 20 October 2025 at 5pm AWST.
About the Attachment
Role: Production Assistant Attachment
Dates: Monday, 10 November – Friday, 19 December 2025
Location: East Fremantle
Production Company: Electric Pictures.
The successful candidate will undertake six consecutive weeks as a paid Production Assistant Attachment, working under the expert guidance of Senior Production Coordinator, Karin Pearson. You will:
- Observe and learn how to arrange travel bookings which includes accommodation, rental cars and airfares.
- Observe and learn how to draw up a callsheet and then distribute to crew members.
- Gain experience working with callsheets, schedules and rushes tracking in the word and excel program space to a standard expected by the industry.
- Gain skills and insights into aspects of production management and the workflow required to deliver a 16-part returnable series.
- Gain experience to help develop their confidence to function in this role and help determine their strengths and areas for future development.
WA First Nations practitioners and WA practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
In addition to the requirements outlined in the BTL Crew Capacity Program – Applicant Guidelines and the Screenwest Terms of Trade, the successful applicant will demonstrate:
- A basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A desire to be in the production side of television.
- Attention to detail.
- Good understanding of TV production processes.
- Ability to problem solve.
