The biggest showing of Western Australian games developers to ever descend on Western Australia will happen at Pixel Expo: IV in Perth in September.
Pixel Expo brings together gaming enthusiasts, animators, developers and industry professionals from all over the world in a showcase of the latest gaming and animation technology at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 13-14 September 2025.
The event incorporates exhibits from top gaming and animation companies, as well as up-and-coming independent developers, including Screenwest supported games Misc a Tiny Tale, Don’t Stop Girly Pop, Powersink and Zodiac Mountain.
Pixel Expo Convenor Tim Barrett said: “We are excited to be working with Steam to host a digital collab event for WA game developers – Chuck Another Game on the Barbie. This collab is designed to spotlight local and interstate games exhibiting at Pixel Expo, giving developers a valuable opportunity to build visibility, grow wishlists, and connect with new audiences.”
Screenwest Digital Games Manager Anthony Sweet said: “The growth of WA exhibitors at large events like Pixel Expo goes hand-in-hand with the exciting progression of the local games industry. Screenwest has been able to support over 30 developers to showcase their WA-made games to thousands of people at Pixel this year. It’s a huge outcome, and one I expect we’ll see continue to grow in the coming years as the industry continues to build.”
