Applications open to attend In the Writers’ Room Masterclass, presented by the AWG
Screenwest is pleased to support In the Writers’ Room – a unique professional development online masterclass hosted by the Australian Writers’ Guild on Saturday 21 June.
This one-day masterclass is designed to give participants insight into how a professional writers’ room operates. From the basics of what a writers’ room is and does through to the less obvious topic of etiquette in a room, it is designed to give talented, aspiring screenwriters the opportunity to gain in-demand and practical skills, develop their understanding of the industry, and build industry connections.
In the Writers Room is supported through the Industry Development – Workshops and Masterclasses Fund.
The fund is made possible through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ workforce capacity support for the WA screen industry, announced by Culture and Arts Minister, Hon David Templeman in 2024.
Applications close Wednesday, 30 April at 5:00pm AWST.
