Applications open for travel funding to attend the AUSTRALIAN CHILDREN’S CONTENT SUMMIT

Presented by SLR Productions, the Australian Children’s Content Summit will provide the chance for creatives and industry executives from around the world to engage, connect and encourage business in the vibrant children’s and family entertainment and media sector. The inaugural conference will be held at the Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour from 29 – 31 August 2023.

Encompassing all formats and genres of children’s content, the summit will consist of high-level industry relevant activities including speaker panels, breakout sessions, roundtables, business discussions and fun social engagement. Australian industry executives are attending from ACTF, ABC, Screen Australia, Netflix, NITV and Screen NSW; with an international delegation including representatives from BBC, CBC and Sony Pictures Television.

About Australian Children’s Content Summit 2023 travel funding

Screenwest will cover the cost of successful applicant passes directly with the Australian Children’s Content Summit.

Successful applicants will receive a set amount of $1,000 to assist with flights and accommodation. As this is a set funding amount, a budget will not be required as part of the application process.

How to apply

Eligibility

  • Must be a Western Australian screen practitioner.
  • Must meet the general eligibility requirements set out in the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
  • Applicants must hold the underlying rights to at least one longform children’s project in development with strong market potential OR genuine market interest.

Only one representative per screen project, company or organisation is eligible to receive support. As this is a competitive round, support is not assured even where an applicant meets all the minimum eligibility criteria. First Nations practitioners and practitioners from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Applications close Friday, 14 July 2023 at 5:00pm AWST.
