Elevate 2022 launching soon
Screenwest is committed to investing in emerging talent and will be announcing new guidelines for Elevate 2022 in the coming weeks.
Elevate supports the production of scripted short films (live action, animation or web series), to serve as a calling card for early to mid-career Western Australian filmmakers.
Short films and web series remain an important and effective part of professional development for directors, writers and producers, with a number of success stories demonstrating clear career pathways for WA talent.
A number of Screenwest-supported shorts released recently have been Official Selections at local, national and international festivals, broadcast nationally or nominated for awards including Sparkles, Two Sands, In Australia, Carmentis, Antecedents, Tooly, The Lost Crystals of Jessica’s Room, Iggy & Ace and Hug the Sun.
Screenwest is currently supporting the production of five short films funded through Elevate and Elevate+ and three web series, funded through Screenwest and Screen Australia’s Out Now funding initiative, and we are currently accepting applications for the Unreal Engine Short Film Challenge.
Stay tuned for new guidelines for Elevate 2022 in the coming weeks.
