DESCRIPTION:Elevate is a capability development program providing support for the development and production of scripted short films (live action\, animation or web-series)\, through two funding strands – Elevate and Elevate+.\n \n Its purpose is to provide a calling-card for early to mid-career Western Australian filmmakers\, through a multi-phased program involving high-level script and project development prior to moving into production.\n \n Successful projects / teams will have access to specialised script and project development\; and be required to attend development workshops/sessions.\n \n In 2020\, for the first-time\, Elevate+ teams will also receive development funding for an attached long form project.\n \n In line with Screenwest’s Indigenous Screen Strategy 2016-2020\, and Screenwest’s Diversity Equity Inclusion Plan\, Elevate+ will support at least one project with an Indigenous director and at least one project with a director or writer who identifies as CALD\, LGBTQIA+ or as living with a disability.\n \n Applications will open on Monday\, 18 May 2020.
