DESCRIPTION:DIFFERENT LENS’ - Disability Diverse Screen Practitioner Placements\n Deadline extended to Monday\, 2 March 2020 at 5:00pm AWST.\n \n Screenwest has secured funding from Carers WA for a one-off opportunity for a Western Australian Producer or Production Company to work with emerging storytellers and practitioners who identify as disability diverse.\n \n This initiative will provide opportunity for Western Australian screen practitioners with disability\, whilst building the capacity of local and professional industry to work with diverse screen practitioners.\n \n &nbsp\;\n What is it about?\n Four Paid Professional Placement opportunities are available for disability diverse Screen Practitioners to develop their skills: a Writer\, Director of Photography\, Sound Recordist and Editor.\n \n The successful applicants will be mentored by and work with the selected Production Company to produce a series of twelve\, disability-focused\, 1 – 2 minute short projects.\n \n Interested screen practitioners will be selected and identified by Screenwest and Carers WA through this Expression of Interest process\, in consultation with the selected producer/production company.\n \n Carers WA will support the selection process to find the disability diverse storytellers.\n \n All program guidelines are to be read in conjunction with the Screenwest Terms of Trade.
