DESCRIPTION:Screenwest is excited to present a special event with visual effects artist Dave McDonell from Last Pixel and director Grant Sputore fromThe Penguin Empire\, as they discuss how they used virtual production for Pre-viz on the feature film I AM MOTHER (Netflix 2019).WA industry creatives are invited to learn about McDonnell's process with the team at Last Pixel\, and their development of a virtual reality and storyboarding location scouting tool\, which integrated and fast tracked their pre-production. This tool enabled them to create real VFX and ensured accurate and quick workflow processes.Grant Sputore and Dave McDonnell will demonstrate how pre-visualisation was used in I AM MOTHER\, including the use of virtual stand-ins\, CAD accurate virtual sets as well as real location data to enable director Sputore to plan the creative and technical challenges of the film.This special event is not to be missed!
